Composition - 8.7 Make Something (Wednesday; 1/3) (Thursday; 2/3)

Waste materials Let's begin! Please refer to page 226 in your learner book. Write the day and date in your Composition book. What is an instructional essay? An instructional essay is an essay that shows a step-by-step guide on doing or making something. Introduction - Before we start the step, we must introduce the readers about the topic. Write a brief information about the item being made or the situation that will be done. Body of paragraphs - If the essay is making something, the first step is always listing the items. Each step will be better separated in each paragraph. This way, it will be clearer for readers. Conclusion - Summarize the finished product or the final step. Task 1 Please refer to pages 226-227 in your learner book.  Write an instructional essay based on the instruction in Set 1.

Grammar - 8.6 Clauses to Clarify (Tuesday; 28/2) (Wednesday; 1/3)

Task 1 Please refer to pages 224-225 in your learner book.   Do all of Set 1. Only write your answers in your Grammar book. You have 30 minutes to answer this task. Do you remember what a conditional clause is? For 1a, use the instructional essay from 8.5. For 1a, list down 2 if clauses from the instructional essay. Task 2 Please refer to pages 225-226 in your learner book.   Do Set 2a to 2d. Only write your answers in your Grammar book. You have 30 minutes to answer this task. Sequence - To show a particular order (123 or ABC). Clarity - To show the specific order (MUST do Step 1 before Step 2).

Please refer to page 166 in your learner's book. Write today's day and date in your Composition book. Who invented the cinquain? She was inspired by Japanese haiku and tanka. Task 1 Please refer to pages 166 to 167 in your learner's book. You do not need to write anything in your Compositon book but you do need to write your Set 1 answers in your LB. Task 2 Write a cinquain about the three topics that are given . The fourth and final topic will be given to you once you show Ms Farah all 3 cinquain poems. 1. Your favourite food. 2. Your favourite animal. 3. Your favourite hobby. 4. (A secret) You have 30 minutes for this task. You can refer to the popcorn cinquain as reference.
