Who invented the cinquain?


She was inspired by Japanese haiku and tanka.


Task 1

Please refer to pages 166 to 167 in your learner's book. You do not need to write anything in your Compositon book but you do need to write your Set 1 answers in your LB.




Task 2

Write a cinquain about the three topics that are given. The fourth and final topic will be given to you once you show Ms Farah all 3 cinquain poems.

1. Your favourite food.

2. Your favourite animal.

3. Your favourite hobby.

4. (A secret)

You have 30 minutes for this task.

You can refer to the popcorn cinquain as reference.
