Narrative Writing
You can refer to your textbook, page 24 for today's lesson.
Narrative writing is a type of writing that tells a story. It is usually fictional and involves a lot of creative thinking in order for the writer to bring the story and characters to life.
5 Features of Narrative Writing
1. Setting: Helps the reader to imagine where and when it happened.
2. Characters: The people, animals, or even objects in the story.
3. Problem: The conflict or issue that goes wrong.
4. Suspense: Gives the reader excitement or anxiety to know what happens further in the story.
5. Resolution/Ending: How the problem was solved or how the story ended.
Task Time
In 5 minutes, create 1-2 paragraphs that is continued from this situation:
Liliana walked around the dark alley. Her heart raced. Her hands cupped close to her beating chest. She gulped once, then took a deep breath to calm herself down. The girl then remembered Yang's words, his calm advice that she should not look back even if she was in danger. "I'll be fine..." she sighed. She knew he cared for her, even if he did not show it properly.
Suddenly, Liliana heard a sound from behind her...

Remember the story of 'All Summer in a Day' we did last Wednesday? It's time for you to continue where the story left off!
As homework, refer to page 21 and do Part C. Write 2 more paragraphs of the story, explaining how the children feel when the rain returns and they have to go back inside.
Your answers should be written in your Composition book. Don't forget to write the day and date in your book. Once done, do take pictures of it and submit them in the Schoology assignment section. The due date is next Wednesday (18/11).

Liliana walked around the dark alley. Her heart raced. Her hands cupped lose to her beating heart. She gulped once, then took a deep breath to calm herself down. The girl then remembered Yang's words, his clam advice that she should not look back even if she was in danger. "I'll be fine..." she sighed. She knew he cared for her, even if he did not show it properly.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly, Liliana heard a sound from behind her...She jumped. Fumbling for her magical rope, she tripped and fell on soft fur. Turning around, she saw Niki, her squirrel. She cried in delight. She cuddled the now flat splat of fur. A little head popped out of it. She heard another sound. There was Hiki. The villian. The missing villain. Do defeat him was the key to the door of success.
She couldn't help it. She took deep breaths. She thought of her happy place but she couldn't help it. She turned around...
ReplyDeleteThere was a mysterious man in a black coat. A hat covered his face, and he was wearing gloves. She noticed he was wearing dark black leather shoes. He was standing in the light of a flickering streetlamp. Suddenly, there was a blackout for a second. There was a soft buzz, and the lights popped on. He had vanished without a trace.
She searched along the length of the street. In every little nook and cranny. But he was GONE. Then she smelled it. It was sweet, a little too sweet. She whipped her head around, but it was too late. Before she got the bag brutally shoved over her head, she saw a young man, a familiar young man. Before she passed out, she thought: Yang?

Actually before Liliana was given a match box with matches by Yang. Then, she heard 'Woo' and thought it was a ghost. Next, she was frightened and saw her boy friend Cho. She ran and hugged Cho. They got married again when Liliana requested to marry Cho.

''GiMmE ThE tAcOs...'' Said the dark figure. ''What?'' Said Liliana ''Me HuNgRy mE nEeD FoOd!'' Said the dark one. Who are you!?!?'' Screamed Liliana. He walked out of the dark. ''YOUR NOT AN ANIME!'' said Liliana. Dark one farts. ''SoRrY i AtE bEaNs FoR bReAkFasT'' Liliana runs away waving her arms in the air and screamed "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH''

(continuum) As they walked home or to their base, a mysterious creature stood infront suddenly. "Ahhh! What's that?!" screamed Liliana. "It seems to be a wolpertinger." replied Yang. "What in the world is a wolpertinger?!" Liliana screamed again. "Tsk tsk, Liliana. To know what a wolpertinger is, just look at it. after Yang said that, he facepalmed at Liliana. "O-Oh okay..." replied Liliana. Liliana looked at the creature and saw that it had deer antlers, a rabbit face, the body of a cat and the tail of a bear. She immediately got disgusted. After that whole thing, they quickly went home trying to avoid the wolpertinger. It had certainly been a night for them

She found a little puddle and she stepped into it and started walking. She turned a corner and continued walking then hid up a tree. She watched and found follower following her footsteps. Liliana chuckled and climbed down. Suddenly, there was a blackout and Liliana could hear muffled noises. “ I think …. I have been kidnapped !” Liliana whispered”I don’t think this going to be good!”.
After a while, the lights came back on and she saw Yang. “ Yang!” cried Liliana. Liliana went and hugged Yang, “Liliana don’t go to those dark alleys again.” Yang said. “ Fine “ Liliana replied. She didn’t want to relive that experience again.

ReplyDeleteLiliana walked around the dark alley… she told herself, “I must be brave.” Then, she raced across the dark alley. When she reached the end, she saw a big wooden door. She opened the door, but she noticed everything was the size of her thumb. She was terrified! She was afraid that she would shrink too if she entered the door. But she made a big decision to take a step in. That was the best decision ever because she did not shrink. She took a few more steps in, and saw another door. She opened the door and saw a bed. It was late at night so she decided to take a rest on the bed.

she heard a sound that was saying came to the rigth came to the rigth she was very scard that she was shinking and then a few min later she heard a another sound cameing to th left saying the same thing came to the left came to the left she was scard that she did not want to go anywhere shewas thinking out going back but it did not work there are no way out but choose a door lilana choose the left she went in and saw a lot of died bodies and where she walk she would see blood she was so scard and suddenly a ghost appeared and was looking at lilana she had no idea what to do she saw the blood and knew what she would do she took a knife and cut herslef and the ghost was drinking her blood and suddenly the ghost turns into a human and lilana said this was my chance she took the knife and killed the man aka ghost she run and run and she escaped from that day on people call the house the killer house.
