Pronouns
First Person Point of View
First person is the I/we perspective.
When we talk about ourselves, our opinions, and the things that happen to us, we generally speak in first person. Plural first-person pronouns are we, us, our, and ourselves. Singular first-person pronouns include I, me, my, mine and myself.
Examples:
1. I am so hungry, I can eat a whale!
2. We usually have our recess at the cafeteria.
Second Person Point of View
Second person is the you perspective.
This POV belongs to the person (or people) being addressed. The biggest indicators are you/your/yours/yourself/yourselves.
Examples:
1. You are being quite loud in the library right now.
2. You only have yourself to blame for not studying for the test.
Third Person Point of View
Third person is the he/she/it/they perspective.
This POV belongs to the person (or people) being talked about. The third-person pronouns include he, him, his, himself, she, her, hers, herself, it, its, itself, they, them, their, theirs, and themselves.
Examples:
1. She has nerves of steel for facing the principal.
2. They were really excited to see the shooting stars last night.
