Composition: 1.4 Write a Short Prologue (Thursday; 2/9) (Friday; 3/9)

K: Plan out an idea.

U: Understand the questions used to construct a prologue.

D: Get and give feedback of a prologue.

Words of the Day

1. Prologue

2. Genre

Task 1

Please refer to page 19 of your learner book. For task 1, please answer the questions in the speech bubble and draft out your ideas in your Composition book or test pad. For your prologue, you can create a prologue from your own original story or from an already existing story from your favourite fictional book.

Your draft is not necessary, but highly recommended. By the end of the day, I want to see your prologue in your Composition book. The word count is 250-300 words.

Since you are technically writing and not typing, you use quotation marks for thought dialogues.

Example: 'Impossible! Where is my sister?!' thought Harvish, panicking as he looked around the school.

Task 2/Homework

Please refer to page 20 of your learner book. Please find a partner in your class or same year level for this task.

For the second task, only write the feedback given by your partner in your Composition book. So as your final product, I will see 2 things in your exercise book:

1. Your prologue;

2. Your partner's feedback (which can be in point or numbered form).

Once 10 minutes before class is up, please write this down in your homework journal:

Compo. Write a Short Prologue. Due: Thursday; 9/9

Please submit your work in your respective class:

6 Autumnus

6 Ver

6 Aestas

6 Hiems
