Words of the Day

1. 5W1H

2. News article

Let's begin!

Please refer to page 69 of your learner book. Take note that this topic will be split into two lessons. The first lesson will focus on the drafting aspect and the second lesson will focus on the essay aspect.

Task 1 (10-20 minutes)

Please refer to page 69 of your learner book. Please prepare your Composition book in order to start your planning/drafting. You can also choose to print out the Composition Work PDF to write in the draft box.

You need to write your draft in your Composition book. The draft can be in a list format or even the inverted pyramid format. Find out about the first ever Everest summit. Use these links to plan out your draft using the 5W1H:

You can also use other legal websites for your research.

Remember: a draft is Short, Simple, and Straight to the point. There are no word limits to a draft, but you can set it up to at most 50-100 words.

You only have less than 30 minutes to finish your draft. In the second task, which will be held during the second lesson, you will immediately start on your news report.

Task 2 (30 minutes)

Please refer to page 69 in your learner book. For your news report, please write it either in your Composition book or test pad. A test pad is highly recommended so that you can practice it for your assessment next week.

Use your notes to write your news report. Remember, the word limit for this is 200-300 words. No more. No less.

Since this is classwork, whether or not you are done, you are to submit your work once time stops. If you submit a day late, it will affect your performance grade.

Please submit your scanned/pictured works in the assignment section below:
