1b1. The poems features are that it is a quatrain stanza, has four lines per verse, and is in the ABCB rhyme scheme.

1b2. The poem's theme describes decision-making and loss.

1b3. The river's source is in the sunny valley.

1b4. The river sought the ocean for peace and serenity.

1b5. The river felt regretful for it was not what it had hoped.

1c. The river narrates the poem.

1d. The poem personifies the river who decides to find the ocean because it assumes it will be better and beautiful, but then felt regretful when it realized the ocean is dark and bitter. The example can be found in the sentences 'And I who was fresh as the rainfall, Am bitter as the sea.' (You can use any of the sentences for examples)

1e. Seawater is salty and indigestible compared to freshwater.

1f. I think number 5, 'causing deep pain; a bitter disappointment' fits better for the poem. I think the poet chose the word 'bitter' because it is to show that the river regrets its choice after having such high expectations.
