    1a1. The main idea for the left poem is fishing while the main idea for the right poem is detention.

    1a2. Both poem share the same five-line rule and they both share the total amount of 21 syllables.

    1a3. Both poems are diamond-shaped.

    1a4. My favourite poem 'Going fishing' because I can relate to doing something reckless when I get too bored. (Answer is open-ended)

    1b1. The two types of poems are diamond cinquain where each line forms a diamond and mirror cinquain where it has a reversed syllable flow than the original.

    1b2. The developer of the original cinquain is Adelaide Crapsey and her main ifluence was the Japanese haiku and tanka.

    1c1. Both poems share the same total amount of 21 syllables.

    1c2. The word count pattern for both poems is 1-2-3-4-1.

    1c4. 'Going fishing' has verbs and adjectives. 'Detention' has nouns, adjectives, and verbs.

    1c5. Both use '-ing'.

    1c6. The phrase on line 4 describes their feelings.

    1c7. They both use only one word.

    1c8. The two punctuation rules are commas where it is used to show pause, and an exclamation mark to show excitement. (There is also ellipses to show sadness).
