Refer to page 158 in your learner book. Read and carefully understand the context of your task.


Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. 


Assessment Task

In pairs, choose an area of interest that is affected by climate change. It could be the sea, a country, or a specific area. 

You must gather information, summarize it, and present it to the class using a multimedia of your choice:

1) Project page


2) 3D Model


3) Digital slideshow


Assessment Checklist

Please refer to the checklist below to ensure you have all you need for your assessment:

1. Essay (25 marks) - An informational essay about the area of your choice that has been affected by climate change. Each pair must have its own informational essay of the same context. Write your essay in a test pad. The word limit is 250-300 words.

2. Chosen multimedia (10 marks) - A project page, a 3D model, or a digital slideshow that summarizes the information about the area of your choice that has been affected by climate change. Each pair will only need to prepare 1 of their chosen multimedia.

3. Presentation - Each pair will only have at most 5 minutes to present their work. A question will be asked once from Ms Farah after the presentation to test your skills on the knowledge. The marks about the presentation is as follows:

> Voice projection (5 marks): Loud, clear, and precise

> Body language (5 marks): Does not stand still but instead move their body accordingly to their presentation.

> Teamwork (5 marks): There is balanced work between partners. Partner shows cooperation and leadership skills in improving each other's skills and abilities both during preparation and presentation.

The presentation will begin on the follow days:
