There are 4 topics that you can write to show your talent, passion, and hard work!

1. Imagine you are a grandparent in 2022. Tell your grandchildren a bedtime story about an inspirational person. 

It can be in a form of poem where you talk about the person.

It can be in a form of a fictional story where you use 1st POV.

Fictional story can in any genre but make sure it sticks to the instructions.


2. What are the best ways for young people to serve the Commonwealth in your view? 

Ways: Vote fairly when old enough. Work together in a diverse country. Guide the younger ones to build a stronger bond in the community.

It can be in a form of a poem that shows young people's efforts to help serve the Commonwealth.

It can be an informational essay that talks about the ways young people can serve Commonwealth.

It can be a fictional story where various young people are doing their part to serve Commonwealth.


3. Our Commonwealth Community

Talk about your community such as your neighbourhood, the people in your state/country, or even a club you're in!

Can in a form of poem, information essay, or fictional story.


4. Write a job description for a superhero needed to solve a problem in your community.

The superhero can have fictional powers (Superman, Spider-man), realistic powers (Batman, Iron Man), or they can even just be a normal person who is considered a hero in the eyes of people (Doctor, Janitor)

You can describe the superhero's powers in a form of a poem and how they use it.

You can write a story about the superhero and how they use their powers to solve problems.

You can also write a factual essay as if it is an advertisement.


Competition Rules and Regulations

1. Entries can be written in any form of creative writing, such as poems, speeches, stories or essays.

2. The minimum and maximum word counts are 300-750 words.

3. You can find the Commonwealth flyer in your respective Homeroom OC/CH updated post.

4. This classwork/homework is due next Wednesday (25/5).

5. You are to submit your typed work as a PDF format.
