A sentence has 3 types:
1. Statement - a definite or clear expression of something in speech or writing.
2. Command - give an authoritative or peremptory order.
3. Question - a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information.

Short sentence:

3. To investigate an argument, idea, or fact thoroughly.
