A news report has 6 layout features:
i) Headline – Tells us what the news is about.
ii) Byline – Shows who wrote the news report.
iii) Lead – Has important information (5W1H).
iv) Diagram – Shows statistics or graphs for further evidence.
v) Formal – Writing is filled with facts.
vi) Organised – Short paragraph for easy reading.
