Reading & Comprehension - Reading Challenge 1 (Thursday; 13/2)

K: Know the type of books we want to read.

U: Understand the context of the book.

D: Write a book review.

Words of the Day

1. Prompt

2. Review

Let's Begin!

For the reading challenge, you need to prepare another blue notebook or any notebook. This book will be called your 'Reading Challenge' book.

On the very first page, paste the reading challenge sheet on your book. Fold the paper nicely so that it doesn't jut out.

Don't forget to write the day and date of you starting the task on the top of the page.

For example:

Complete: 22/2/2025

Prompt: A book whose cover you find beautiful.

Title: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Task: Write a review about the book.

I think the book is amazing. It has a wonderful setting. It has magical creatures like fairies and mermaids.

The hero's name is Jude. She is strong. Even though her parents were murdered and she was kidnapped, she grew up to be a strong woman.

Keep in mind that if the instruction requires drawing, you can draw on an A4 paper and paste it in your book.

Task 1

For the first ever reading challenge, you can choose your prompt but you have to do this instruction: Write a book review about the book.

You can borrow a book from the library, buy a book from a bookstore, or use a book from your home. Keep in mind that you cannot use a book that you've read before.

This is due next Tuesday (18/2).

Task 2

Once done, you can choose another prompt and this time, you can choose your instruction.

Ms Farah will see your status every Tuesday and Thursday.
