Let's Begin!
Do you remember what a simple sentence is?
What about a compound sentence?
Today, we are learning the last sentence BUT BEFORE THAT let's watch this.
Main clause - A complete sentence/A simple sentence.
Dependent clause - An incomplete sentence and will have a subordinating conjunction.
What happens when we combined a main clause and dependent clause together?
Complex Sentence - A combination of main clause and dependent clause.
Example:
1. Since Ms Farah bought a whole box of My Little Pony Skullpanda, she was very happy.
2. Yusuf was lying on the floor because he was tired from playing in the Cempaka Court.
3. "If you need help, call me." Zachary said to Claire while flexing his arm.
Can you think of any other complex sentences?
