Prepare your learner's book and English notebook. Write the day and date in your notebook. Next, flip your book to page 233.   What is a synonym? One or two more words that share the same meaning.   What is an adjective? A word that describes a noun.   Task 1 On page 234, read the instructions for 1a carefully and work with your partner. Write your answers in your learner's book. You have 5 minutes for this task. Task 2 On page 234, answer set 1b and write your answer in full, proper sentences in your notebook. You have 15 minutes for this task. Task 3 (Extra Task) On pages 234-235, answer sets 1c and 1d. Write only your answers in your notebook. The text used can be found on page 231.

Can you tell us the word classes that you know? Task 1 In groups, make a word class poster consisting of the 7 word classes. Please refer to the checklist below: 1. Each word class but have at least 4 examples. 2. The poster can be vertical or horizontal. 3. Our poster must be decorative, creative, and colourful. You have 20 minutes for this task.
